    Step It Up Kickoff is October 1 for the start of the expanded Step It Up program. This 10 week pedometer program is designed to increase fitness and offers incentives, camaraderie and fun along the way to better health! The walks begin in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Davis, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Morgan Hill, San Jose, East Bay, New Jersey, Georgia, Alaska, Colorado and other locations.

    The particpiant assessment from the pilot Step It Up showed 100% reported the program as "benefical" and would "receommend to a friend". The Fall program is full is still accepting sign-ups so if you’re interested, call Lifelong Fitness Alliance at (650) 361-8282. Enrollment will be taken on a first come/first served basis, so act quickly

    Living Strong, Living Well™ is a twelve week small group program designed for adult cancer patients and survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. Registration for the Wiinter 2008 is beginning and enrollment is limited so if you interested, please review the locations and dates.

    San Francisco Peninsula+ Resources - In addition to the activities directly sponsored by Lifelong Fitness and it's Ambassadors, we provide links to other organizations and clubs with fitness activities people may be of interest to help anyone get or keep moving.

Calendar of Ongoing Events

Walking - Running - Biking - Hiking

 

Walks and Runs generally are a 3-4 mile round trip route, for a total of one hour on the trail. Runners may go a longer distance. All levels of ability are welcome, but some walks may include uphill terrain. Some walks may also include easier options for beginners. Wear good running or walking shoes  Bring water. No charge—(it is not necessary to be a member of Fifty-Plus Lifelong Fitness to attend.) Please bring a friend!

Events are held rain or shine and on all holidays except Christmas Day and Lifelong Fitness Dare To Be Fit Weekend. It is always a good idea to confirm an event by calling the information phone number. Should you find an event has changed or no longer exists please notify the office by e-mail

Are you an adult who would like to be more fit? Join us Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. for a FREE one-hour walk in beautiful Bidwell Park, and meet others who are interested in developing fitness, one step at a time.
The walk is for adults who are just starting to exercise, as well as those who are already fit - so you can walk at your own pace.
